-
- Right. That was mainly why I proposed, some time ago:
-
- ^W Close Active Window
- ^U Close Top Window
-
- Sh^S
- AND ^M Save As... (where Sh^S *must* be defined,
- and ^M should be supported if possible)
-
- This guarantees a maximum compatibility between the two agreed standards
- (the Atari one on the one hand---cf. Edith, and the German one on the
- other---cf. any good German shareware/commware).
-
- Some distinction between active and top window could also be built into
- our DEFAULTS.INF syntax:
-
- *active-window*.*key*.*ctl-w: Close
- *top-window*.*key*.*ctl-u: Close
-
- Hm. There should be a way for a program that does NOT support the distinction
- active/top to find both of these entries. Warwick, any suggestions?
-
- On the other hand, the condition under which the items 'close' and
- 'close top' are greyed out in the menu is the application's business.
- So maybe we simply want two actions: Close-Active and Close-Top.
